The annual Kununurra Agricultural Show attracts more than 6,000 people to the show over the 2 days.  We are a grass-roots not-for-profit organisation, run by a committee of volunteers and rely on volunteers at show time to help make the magic happen.

We have various volunteer opportunities available throughout the year, particularly in the lead-up to the show and during the pack-down afterward. However, the greatest need for hands-on help is during Show Week.

No matter your skills or how much time you can contribute, every little bit helps. Whether you have a few hours or several days, we welcome your involvement!

If we already have your details on file, please email, phone or drop into the office to let us know how and when you'd like to contribute to the next event.
Here are just some of the ways you can help:
  • Committee Roles (Planning & Operations):
Help prepare, plan and run the show by taking on a role within the organising committee.
  • Social Media Coverage:
Support is needed before, during, and after the show, with a strong focus on live coverage over the two main show days.
  • Pre-Show Grounds Setup:
Assist with tasks such as transporting hired equipment to the showgrounds, putting up sponsor banners, checking lighting and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Pre-Show Pavilion Setup:
Help prepare and set-up pavilions, receive and display entries.
  • During Show Days:
Assist in the office, upload show results; or
on-ground logistics, switching lights on and off (evenings & fireworks), putting bins around grounds, adjusting fenced areas, refueling generators onsite, helping with the produce auction.
  • Post-Show Pack-Down:
Help return the grounds to normal by packing down infrastructure and assisting with clean-up.
  • Exhibit & Prize Collection:
Assist with exhibit and prize collection after the show.
